The Schwarzenbach Necklace
This is from the stunning bronze Schwarzenbach offering bowl from 5th century BCE, near the sacred Rhine River, Switzerland. The pattern is from the a beautiful intricate gold inlayed pattern at its base, which is early La Tene style, found in the tomb of an early Celtic Chieftain. It was amongst the burial goods found in the two barrows that make up part of the group of Saarland High Status burials, also known as the St Wendell Barrow.
It is quite large at 3.5cm in diameter, a very beautiful piece to wear. This necklace is available in a few variations:
- All silver.
- Silver outer setting, silver chain, with a 9ct rose gold centre.
- Silver outer setting, silver chain, with a 9ct yellow gold centre.
- All 9ct yellow gold.
- Silver outer setting, silver chain, 9ct rose gold or 9ct yellow gold centre, with blue and white enamel or green and white enamel. If you would like a version of this it is best to call us to discuss it. The price does go up significantly with both the gold and colour enamel, but it is absolutely stunning.
