Shamrock Triquetra Pendant
A Trinity Knot from the Book of Kells, 8AD Ireland/ Iona. I found this fine example of Celtic Trinity Knot work in the Gospel of Saint John VI 37-42: folio 309R, Book of Kells. Jesus’s Discourse on His Divine Mission. It’s clearly a Shamrock and maybe this design is a link to the legend of St Patrick, using a Shamrock to illustrate the mystery of the Holy Trinity and the Divinity of Christ. Dimension: 2.5cm before the chain drop.
